Artist Statement
Mike Wise is a painter based in Central Oregon. He paints on location throughout the Pacific Northwest. Subjective matter consists of landscapes, urban-scapes and wildlife. Mike works primarily in oils and has an aesthetic leaning towards impressionistic realism. His work is represented at the Hood Avenue Gallery in Sisters, Oregon. Mike teaches classical painting and drawing classes at Bright Place Gallery in Bend, Oregon.
