Artist Statement

      Vance Perry was inspired by an eccentric uncle who shared his love for art. Together, they spent time looking and appreciating the world around them. In school, Vance took art classes at Idaho State University and ultimately graduated from the Portland Art Museum with a BFS in painting and ceramics. Over the next thirty years, Vance was a designer and creator of handmade ceramic tiles. In 2015, he rediscovered his painter’s side, using acrylic, oils and oil pastels for his abstract and landscapes paintings. Mr. Perry has become well-known for his paintings throughout Oregon.
