INTRO TO GEL PRINTING with Renee Iverson

Monday, September 12, 1:00PM–4:00PM

Do you enjoy playing with color and pattern? Join local artist Renee Iverson to learn the art of gel printing. Gel Printing is a monoprinting technique using a gel printing plate, brayer, paint and paper. You will be guided through an introduction to gel printing, managing paint, variegated color applications and creation of various textures & patterns, before moving into gell printing combing stencils, masks and stamps to create patterns directly on the gelli plate. This is a fun, prolific art form and takes very little time to create beautiful unique papers for any type of art project. Cost $45; you will need to bring: 1 Gel Printing Plate (8x10" or 9x12") & 1-2 SOFT rubber brayers (2", 3", 4"), optional: spray water bottle. Space is limited - pre-registration required.

All levels of experience are welcome.
