Artist Statement
After dabbling with watercolor for many years, I moved to Bend in 2017 and found a group at the SageBrushers Art Society that encouraged me to focus and develop my understanding of the medium. A distinctly amateur artist, I’m drawn to the visual arts for aesthetic delight and drawn to the act of painting as a practice and a mental focus. I enjoy the planning of colors, pigments, composition, and execution strategy – and strive to keep learning and mastering these challenges.
