Artist Statement

I spent the first 12 years of my life in rural southern Oregon. For entertainment the kids would explore nature. Family vacations often took us to natural areas to fish and camp. 

Now days a lot of my free time is spent exploring with a camera. I am looking for splashes of color in the landscape or sky or colorful or unusual flowers and wildlife. I am trying to capture the spirit of the place or animal.
