Artist Statement

Bold, colorful, impressionistic art calls to me as well as women's faces and forms.  I strive for playfulness, intuition, experimentation, fearlessness and always curiosity as I evolve into my own expression.  

At the age of twelve I painted a nativity scene using tempura paint on our large picture window.  Soon I had a budding little business painting holiday scenes on windows.  That was long before I began telling myself I could not draw or paint.  I strive to recapture that fearless and loose spirit.  Maybe those windows are the reason I find large canvasses so freeing and fun.
