Katherine Taylor & Michael Wise

Saturday-Sunday, February 18-19, 2023, 9AM – 4PM. If you have the desire to master painting in oils but have doubts because you fear the process is too complicated, then join us for this workshop. Local fine art instructors Katherine Taylor and Michael Wise will demystify the process of painting with oils and demonstrate a simple step-by-step process to create dynamic and powerful oil paintings. This will be an immersive weekend, covering the essentials that will include composition, color mixing, shape simplification, value structure, handling of edges and mark-making. Each day of the workshop will consist of a morning presentation and demonstration, followed by hands-on painting in the afternoons, with plenty of instructor assistance at the easels.
