Artist Statement

Painting the Contemporary Cowboy - Western life is alive and well in Oregon. My goal is to show the rest of the world there still exists:

• The hard working multi-generational ranch family

• The quiet interaction between a cowboy and his horse

• The amazing talent of horse cutters, team ropers, and bronc riders 

• Young women who ride with old fashioned 1800's grit as well as

• The wild horses surviving both the BLM and the canyons
